Hanwha Techwin Wisenet P Series Camera
Hanwha Techwin America has developed a new AI technology in the surveillance system and introduced its new Camera for better surveillance in times of COVID-19 outbreak. This is the best AI cameras in the present-day market with advance face detecting capability. With this, it becomes easier to maintain surveillance on people who are wearing the mask as well as who is not wearing the mask.
Since the Outbreak of COVID-19 around the World, governments ordered their citizens to wear a mask and maintain social distancing while travelling or in public places. But due to public negligence regarding such orders imposed by the government. Therefore, the government are now resorting to AI and surveillance system and this led to demand creation for new smart surveillance technology in the market.
Hanwha Techwin Camera
Hanwha Techwin a global security & surveillance system provider has declared the launch of its brand new CCTV cameras with AI technology, creating a unique era of smarter video surveillance. Through the AI technology establishing an essential role in the video surveillance industry, This company introduced its most advanced core lineup of state-of-the-art AI solutions including CCTV, which can be linked with SSM and Retail Insight v2.0, to develop the perfect security package.
Equipped with a strong artificial intelligence (AI) engine which can detect and classifies people and transports in real-time, These are designed to precisely capture the unique attributes of objects such as faces, colour, age and license plates, whilst reducing false alarms caused by waving trees, video noise, and also shadows.
These are completely supported by SSM Video Management Software (VMS), which guarantees secure AI solutions that have been optimized with the aid of a robust AI smart search feature. For example, when the camera discovers someone, it obtains that person’s unique attributes, such as gender, age, the colour of clothing, and whether that person is wearing any kind of object.
The above-mentioned information is then stored as metadata besides the obtained footage, enabling operators to streamline searches via specific events or objects. The same also applies to vehicles, which can be classified into various types such as cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles as well as there colour. And the best shot feature catches the best still pictures of the classified objects which can be exported in maximum 4K resolutions.
These still cuts also contain metadata of the objects distinctive attributes, therefore, allowing supervisors to easily hunt particular objects in the video.
We’re very proud to begin this new era by presenting to the world Hanwha Techwin’s state-of-the-art technologies that have been carefully developed to match the constantly evolving security and surveillance landscapes,” announced by a Hanwha Techwin spokesperson. “Based on our firm belief that trust remains an essential aspect of the industry, we will continue to improve our world-renowned core technologies while simultaneously introducing new revolutionary AI solutions and reinforcing our cybersecurity.”
Mask Detection
Corresponding with the fresh launch of the Occupancy Monitoring application designed to help execute social distancing rules, This company has also launched a detection application which will additionally assist businesses to operate in a COVID-19 affected world. Wearing a mask is considered to halt the spread of COVID-19 and has previously been approved as a safety standard in various workplaces.
However, the availability of the detection application could not attain at a better time with the World Health Organisation (WHO) now advocating the usage of face wherever social distancing is unmanageable. The UK government is also making it mandatory to wear a face-covering when visiting or serving within healthcare facilities and when using public transport.
The UK is not unequalled in introducing laws to ensure the wearing of face coverings. In Germany, for instance, it is essential to do so when on public transport and while shopping, including in Spain everyone older than six, has to wear masks in indoor public spaces and outdoors when it is not easy for people to keep more than two metres apart.
The detection application developed by the company, a2 Technology, runs on open-platform uses innovative video analytics to identify if a person accessing an area is not covering face with a mask. This will trigger the playing of a customisable audio message such as ‘please wear a mask’.
The audio message is generated via an audio support feature developed into CCTV, negating the need for a PC or a separate audio storage device to be installed nearby. A short cable is all that is needed to join a speaker to the camera.
An Alarm Out feature can also be used to turn on a device such as a warning beacon. This application simultaneously identifies and analyses up to 4 people at a time and can detect people at a distance up to 5 metres from a camera, is not affected by glasses, hats or scarfs is additionally able to detect if a mask is not being accurately used.
A digital zoom-in function, which is designed to be used with fixed lens cameras, assists installers to configure the application so that it focuses on a specific region of a camera’s field of view if it is considered to be too wide.
It is an edge-based solution
The application can be ordered pre-loaded on selected models as an out-of-the-box solution. These are:
- XNB-6000/MSK Network box camera
- XNO-6080/MSK Network IR bullet camera
- XND-6010/MSK Network dome camera
- XNV-6011/MSK Vandal-resistant network dome camera
As is the case with all Wisenet X Series cameras, these models are equipped with SD/SDHC/SDXC memory slots, enabling images associated with incidents of people not wearing masks or not wearing them correctly, to be stored locally. There is also the option for the images to be stored on an FTP server.
AI camera is easy to manage
A web-based interface facilitates users to receive alerts via a desktop PC. The application has also been integrated with the Wisenet WAVE 4.0 Video Management Software (VMS) platform which, with its ‘Layout-as-an-Action’ feature, allows a predefined screen layout to be automatically opened when an event occurs. This makes it even easier for operators to verify there has been an infringement of mask-wearing laws.
“The application is an excellent example of how video surveillance technology can help people safely go about their every-day business,” stated Uri Guterman, Head of Product & Marketing for Hanwha Techwin Europe.
“With lives sadly at stake, we fully understand our responsibilities in terms of offering solutions which are fit for purposes, such as the Occupancy Monitoring applications. Over the coming weeks, we will, therefore, continue to work in-house and with hand-picked technology partners to develop additional practical solutions which will robustly assist offices, factories, hospitals, art galleries and museums, places of worship, transport facilities and many other types of businesses and organisations, to safely open their doors to the public.”
