Install the HSV CMS, Login & Add CCTV Devices to Monitor on a Windows OS

Step 1- Install the HSV CMS on a Windows OS

Take the download button and open it. You get the zipped file folder. Decompress it to get the application file.

When you open the application file, you get the following page on the screen.

It is the first page of the app. It gives you the terms and conditions of this software.

Read the terms and conditions and if you are satisfied with them, press the ‘Install’ button given on the screen.

You get this page. It shows the folder location and path of the folder.

If you want to change the folder location or its path, you can do it by browsing the option. Otherwise, press the next button.

The moment you click the next option, the app installation process begins as you can see on the screen,

When the installation process is complete. you get the message that the installation has been done completely.

Now, the first step is complete. We move to the next step. It is for the sign-in to the software.

Step 2- Login to the App

To log into the app, we open the app we have just installed and we get the below page.

It is the login to the app page. We have to create a username and password for the app to register it.

The password must be of at least 8 characters with a combination of bold, small, numeric and symbols.

We have to create another password. It is the “Database Password.” The database password must be EXACTLY 8 character password with a combination of bold, small, symbol and numeric values.

Register these terms and then press the save button.

You have created the username and password.

Now go back to the login page.

Enter the registered username and password and then click the login button.

This way, you will be logged in to the CMS App.

When this process is over, we head towards the ‘Add Device’ option.

Step 3- Add Devices for Remote Surveillance

We get this interface of the app.

The “+” symbol marked in a red colour is symbolic of the menu page.

Press the “+” sign and you get the following window on the screen.

The ‘Devices’ option is given. Press the tab and the new page appears on the screen.

When we click the ‘Add Device’ icon, we get the below page. We can connect NVRs through this application.

Give the device details, its name, IP address, username and password of the device and then press the save button.

The devices are added now. Go to the menu page and click the live view page.

When you click the live view button, the app screen shows you the connected NVR and its attached cameras appear on the screen.

You get the devices on the screen.

You can monitor your locations and sites on the Windows PC from anywhere.

How to Playback from Remote Locations?

We can check playbacks from remote locations. For that, we have to open the menu page of the HSV App.

Click the Playback option given on the screen.

You get the following page on the screen. It is the page where you have to give the date and time to search the video clip for remote surveillance.

Mention the details of the searched clip like date, time and the device and you will get the required video clip on the screen.

This way, you will watch playbacks.

How to Enable Motion Detection Option on the Software?

If you want to open motion detection to get notifications on your mobile phone, you have to open the ‘Event Linkage Strategy’ option.

Press the button and the following page appears on the Windows screen.

Enable the option and now it will trigger alarms on the device. This option secures you from suspicious and threatening things.
