This article is all about the Starlight Technology used in CCTV Cameras. It improves the night vision and makes the picture quality better.
This starlight technology for security surveillance devices is based on the sensor which will provide good quality night vision in low light conditions. The starlight camera technology-based camera works on 0 LUX and gives you a better and sharper image.
This Starlight Technology in CCTV Cameras works on the same principle as the IR-Cut filter. However, the sensor is different from the normal sensor.
It uses a larger and more sensitive sensor which reduces the speed of the electronic shutter hence it will not go into night vision in low light.
It doesn’t need to give you a colour image. This camera gives you a black-and-white image also. Starlight comes in both HD and IP HD cameras.
Starlight Cameras are simply normal CCTV cameras with extremely clear night vision. Apart from this a normal question arises why and where do we use starlight Cameras?
The answer to this question is as follows.
Starlight Technology & Starlight Studded CCTV Cameras
Why we use this type of device is easy to decipher.
- The better quality image in both night and day mode- Starlight camera not only shows good quality images at night but also in day mode. This camera gives you exceptionally good quality images at night, As far as night mode is concerned there is no doubt about this camera technology. It is generally used outdoors where the user wishes to see clear images or activity in low-light conditions. But in extremely dark conditions, it will show you black-and-white images.
- It may be used in the street because most crimes do take place on the street and even controlling crime is also handled and minimised by using this type of camera. One of the main reasons is that Streetlights are always on in the darkness or at night. So it is an ideal condition to use a starlight camera and hence this kind of technology is very useful.
- It may be used in airports, railway stations and bus stations. Generally, this kind of place always has a good lighting system and the outside area of this place has good light. But it is also true that a maximum number of crimes also take place in these crowded places. So the starlight camera is very useful in these places because the conditions are ideal and the use of such technology is fruitful. Another reason to use such a camera is these places because the maximum number of crimes take place in such places and it needs to be controlled.
- It may be used in places like a supermarket, outside and in open areas of the mall like the parking area. Again such areas have good lighting but normal cameras give you black and white images which is not helpful because areas are big and image quality is not that good. So, if we use Starlight cameras then images are colourful. It becomes easier to recognise faces and activities. These are the places where the frequency of people is higher.
So above is the point which is very helpful to understand the starlight camera well but this camera is a little costly than the normal camera. So you can use it only at limited and sophisticated places. If you are doing any new project then definitely you need to install starlight cameras rather than normal cameras. Now I will list some good starlight cameras with their specifications.
